How To Care For Your New Piercing
✨ Please Wash Your Hands
✨ Only use Sterile Saline solution (*0.9% Sodium Chloride)
✨ Spray and saturate piercing area with the Sterile Saline, then air dry
✨ Use Sterile Saline Spray 2 to 3 times a day
✨ At the end of your shower, allow warm running water to rinse over piercing for 3-5 minute to remove any build up and products then let the piercing air dry or blow dry on the cool setting.
✨ ORAL piercings need to be rinsed with cold distilled water after every time something foreign enters the mouth (food, drink, vape).
Please AVOID the following:
✨ DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PIERCING. NO twisting, turning, or moving the jewelry back and forth. Leave the piercing alone.
✨ NO swimming or submerging piercing in open water for 6 weeks (including but not limited to: lakes, oceans, hot tubs, bath tubs, spas, etc.)
✨ No Q-tips or cotton balls (the are not sterile and fibres can be trapped around the piercing)
✨ Do NOT use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, polysporin, tea tree oil, contact lens solution, piercing antiseptic, piercing solution, tylenol paste, bactine, homemade sea salt mix, etc.
✨ NO sleeping on cartilage piercings (causes angle to change & irritation)
✨ NO damp hair around the piercing (moisture can promote bacterial growth), keep piercing area dry
✨ Avoid make-up and facial products on or in piercing
✨ Avoid hair dye and hair products on or in piercing
✨ Avoid wearing helmets, earbuds, headphones, or headgear that puts pressure on any ear piercings
✨ Avoid sport/activities that can cause the piercing to be bumped or snagged
We recommend booking an appointment for a check-up after 1 month so Ryan can see how your healing process is going and to see whether it is necessary to downsize your piercing jewelry.
